they way we have programmed this, you do need your own server.
it saves by giving the data to a server.
the
flash-dmdx.org server is down, and will probably not come back.
We use a different one at the moment, which we did not make
"public", because we assumed people would have a possibility to have
their own server.
so, I suggest the following: If you have a university that supports
you, talk to the IT department. What you need is simply access to a
server that runs PHP scripts. You need to upload a script to that
server. It will receive your data, and save them for you.
If that doesn't work, you could get your own server from a webspace
provider. of course that would cost something. You could also get a
server in the Amazon cloud. Both requires that you learn how to run
a server. Not that difficult, and if you have mastered ScriptingRT I
think you should master that as well, but also not trivial. If you
get your own server, we could help you setting it up.
one more alternative: I heard that people in Cologne changed the
script such that it sends email rather than saving to a server. I
cced Jens in this email. Jens, how does it work? Do you need to have
a mail server for this?
let's see what the best alternative is...
best,
thomas
