hi Thomas,

I got the error of "Unable to open 'scriptingrt0352' when compiling the mxlm file to flash file. I tried to search on the internet for the solutions but nothing worked. Could you help me with this? What is the problem and what should I do? Thank you very much :)

that sounds like either your files are not in the right folder
structure, or you use a different version of the library? Which files do
you use, in which folders?

Thank you so much for you quick reply. I have tried on both Windows and Mac. Both used library version: scriptingrt0352.swc

On Windows:

The library was automatically saved as .zip file (I know because it is, even I tried to change the extension to .swc, it didn't work). I saved the library in the folder: C:\SDK, together with the .mxml file. In command window, first I go to the folder by typing: cd C:\SDK (enter). Then, the syntax: C:\Flex4.1\bin\mxmlc -static-link-runtime-shared-libraries=true -library-path+=scriptingrt0352.swc test.mxml

It said: Error: Unable to open 'scriptingrt0352.swc'.

On Mac:

My mxml file was saved as .txt file. I can't save it to .mxml. I don't know if it is the problem but the error is: Unable to open 'test.mxml' (I tried to change the extension of the file to .mxml).

Thank you so much :)

Hi Thomas,

I have used the library version "scriptingrt034" and it worked. I don't really know what is my problem with the latest version but it's OK :)

Thank you very much :)

it must be the name of the library then - it must have the .swc in the end.
