I am still a beginner in regards to both ScriptingRT and Flex and I would very much appreciate any help you could give me on this problem.
I would like to display a video and then record the response time participants take to press either of two response keys.
The main problem I have encountered with this that if I set the video to autoplay, then it starts playing at the welcome screen already, which means that by the time I reach the frame that I want the video to be displayed, it is already over.

With the help of online tutorials I tried setting up a listener for keyboard events, so that when I press the space key (and only then) the video starts playing, but so far I have had no luck.

I am happy for any advice you can give me!

Felix,
sorry, this is beyond my expertise in AS3 programming, which would be needed to solve this. If you do not need millisecond precision, I recommend solving this in qualtrics or something similar, embedding the video with the youtube api and tracking input keyboard with a javascript function that access the second of the video from the player. we have done something similar in qualtrics when tracking reactions to video, and it worked nicely.
