I think it would be quite neat to have the flora evolve as well as the fauna. Having plants develop ways to trick or keep themselves safe would be awesome!

Hi all

I've been following this group for years hoping I might someday be able to contribute with some conceptual ideas - if I found the right people who needed my skills. I'm constantly on the lookout for bright ideas and creative and skilled individuals.

Mostly I've been following what's going on in voxels, AI and gaming projects if high scale of realism. However it seems many of you already have a very advanced concept creativity and might not need more of that. SO:

Not being a programmer I thought I would present my business skill-set, and maybe someone could use me?

I'm an Executive MBA with 15 years strategic business development experience living in Denmark, Europe - with many connections to the venture capital industry (investors).

If any of you have progressed to/beyond a working demo with detailed graphics - and are looking for funding in Europe - please let me know.

I'm especially interested in as-close-as-possible realistic simulations with very high level graphics, advanced physics - and advanced AI on flora and fauna. A realistic "world" with growing trees/grass/plants etc, animals feeding on flora and fauna etc.

Any "human" / "game" / "use" can be applied at a later stage. First off, I'm interested in finding the best working biospheres with growing and re-populating elements.

Let me know if I can be of help.

All the best regards
Adam

Hi Ryan,

That would indeed be interesting, and in an old version (like, 2010 old) I tinkered with the concept of fruit entities that had color, and would evolve just like the bots. However, it wasn't very revealing, and the typical evolution patterns were always observed: the agents would see the fruit color, drive to it and eat it, and the surviving fruit with slightly different colors survived and spread. It wasn't very enlightening, but it was only one method of plant evolution. No doubt if things like "taste", "poison", spread speed, spread distance, and "fertilizer" were to be added and mutated, there would be lots of interesting developments. At the moment, however, I am more interested in the bots, and them eating each other and different types of food, but I can't speak for the rest of the devs. I'll consider some ideas with flora evolution in my next update, however.

Thanks for your interest!
