It'd be nice to be able to redirect console output from script
evaluation to some component within Seco. Now, tracing statements and
exceptions etc. all go to the console and it's annoying to switch
windows just to look at it.

It's funny how such an obvious feature wasn't implemented.
Finally it's in the trunk now. You could invoke it through Tools->Show
Output Console menu command.

That's great. It will probably be even greater to be able to channel
those outputs to different places depending on some top level cell
group context (e.g. a notebook), but that's not crucial for now. Does
it distinguish System.err from System.out?

Btw, there's one little request I'd have for cell evaluation behavior.
Something small, but very annoying - when there's an exception during
the evaluation, I'd like the cursor to remain within the evaluated
cell, instead of going right after the output cell holding the
exception. That's because usually in such cases, you want to correct
something in the code right away and because stack traces can be long,
it takes time to scroll up.

I didn't understood the meaning of "to be able to channel the outputs
depending on some top level cell...".
System.err and System.out are distinguished - e.g. displayed with
different styles.
The cursor now remains within the evaluated cell, when the output cell
contains an exception.

Set a different output window for each notebook...not important and
probably not that valuable, unless one has some long background
processes running in various notebooks, each printing out stuff to be
visually inspected.
