Hi Dmitry,
That is fantastic!
All we have is on the wiki, which is obviously not that much. However, whenever you want to tackle an issue or something new, and you need some explanation of how things are currently set up, what I (and Konstantin possibly) can do, is write a page wiki about the area of interest on a need by need basis. This way documentation will add up and hopefully be maintained and it will be more permanent that quickly and informally answering on the google group.
Regarding Java expertise, it will slow you down if you don’t have much of it, but depending on what other languages you know and your general comp. sc. background, it might not be such a hurdle. I can help with that too.
I think the question of adding support for a new language has been addressed several times already and there is info on the wiki about it. If that’s not enough for adding XSB Prolog, please write back here. For example, if XSB Prolog doesn’t have a Java interface, we’d have to figure out how to talk to its runtime, whether it can be easily integrate with HGDB (and whether that’s desirable at all).
And what about JPython, what’s the problem with the current support for it?
Cheers,
Boris
