Chennai Short Film???

Hi Guyzzz,

People who werent able to make to screen writting workshop and not able to grab the golden oppur to work in the short film(Includes me also),we can do something useful

still one more workshop gets conducted..

thought we can join some groups and start scriptinh on the same title chennai to make a short film..

Think we can take "Chennai" as our concept for short film and start to come up with ideas.

The climate in chennai is either hot or very hot....with intermittent rains which start in late september and if we are lucky last till dec. Can get a bit chilly at tht time. Its humid. In summer temp can touch upto 42 degrees. Wht else?

Small Thought About the Chennai concept

The movie starts with
Four Friends meeting near a Tea stall at a street corner
During Jan month start of second week On a saturday early morning which is not very cold and discussing about the
plans for Pongal holidays.
One guy says he is going to his native
Other guy says he is going to visit his Grand parents.
Other guys says he is going to participate in Manju virattu.
The fourth guy says
Hey dude are you going to go to villages to spend your time.
You are going to shit in the open air and travel in bullock carts are you crazy.
All other 3 village guys gets hurted and says -- we have some root to our native places.
You call yourself as chennaitte...what is your root.
Where is your father from?
Which is mom's native?
Do you rem where your Grand parents are from?
The chennaitte shaken by this question tries to find out the which is HIS real native place....
 
Who are the real Chennaitte...why he don't have any relatives out of Chennai? etc.....
 
Here you can show the colour of chennai downtown  -- parrys corner - mannady---triplicane--purasaiwalkam etc...

Syed, I just saw your short film. I was extremely impressed with the
dramatic flow of your film - the acting was relatively natural, and
engrossing. You took a very simple theme and made it entertaining and
watchable. I am certain that most people who watch your film would be
impressed. However, I found the ending to be a little cliched. That
asside, your passion in telling the tale is what moved me most, and
best of luck in your future endeavours.

Thanks for your detailed comment on the short film. I will try to improve not to be stereotype in my next projects.
I was not receiving the mails from the group for a very long time...was thinking whether i was banned from the group mails...
