Hello,
Starting on January 25th with a Cary downtown adventure, the Tuesday morning (10am) Natural
Math Club will hold open weekly field trips around the Triangle. We will gather at an interesting place, photograph and discuss
math found nearby, talk with interesting locals, make removable
math
street art, and upload our pictures and comments for the world to see.
The goals are to actively explore local landmarks, interact with local
communities and businesses, move around, and find mathematics
everywhere. This activity is free and open to people of all ages. It is
multi-disciplinary, including social studies, visual arts, sports and
mathematics.
We will meet for the first time in the Cary Library at 310 S. Academy St. at 10am on January 25th. The topic for the first math scavenger hunt is LINES.

I had a lot of response from families with teens to three-year-olds - it will be fun! Dress for the outdoors.
Cheers,
