International Law Forum on Tubbataha, VFA and National Sovereignty

The Forum is intended to address the vital issues concerning the protected Tubbataha Reefs in the Sulu Sea which was damaged by the grounding of USS Guardian. 

Among the topics that will be discussed during the forum include the following: 

(1) Internationalization of Philippine Territory and Environmental Disasters: The Supreme Court at Sea; 

(2) Executing the Decision in Salonga vs. Executive Secretary: Renegotiating Towards Abrogation; (3) Assessing Damage to the National Heritage; and (4) Grounding of USS Guardian: Response from the Executive Department.
