Greetings to all members of the Sierra Club of Canada Prairie Chapter. 

 

It's Dave Greenfield, chairperson of the Prairie Chapter Executive Committee. 

 

I am writing to invite you all to attend our upcoming Prairie Chapter Annual General Meeting. 

 

Our 2012 annual general meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 18th, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. 

 

We will be holding our meeting in the meeting space at our office in Edmonton.  We will also be using a speaker phone and bringing people in by phone from across the Prairie region.

In order to vote at the meeting, you will need to have a current membership.  If your membership has lapsed within the past year, now is the time to renew it.  You must have a current membership by August 19th.  To renew your membership, go to the website of the Sierra Club of Canada national office at www.sierraclub.ca

 

Our meeting will include a presentation of financial and activity reports, the election of a new Prairie Executive Committee, some discussion about our current activities, and some discussion about ongoing and future directions for our chapter. 

 

If you would be interested in getting more involved in the work of our chapter, I would encourage you to consider putting your name forward to become a member of our executive committee.  Members of our executive committee are expected to attend our monthly phone meetings, and to participate in the work of our chapter between meetings.

 

We look forward to your participation, in person or by phone, in our annual general meeting, and to your continued involvement in the Sierra Club of Canada Prairie Chapter.
