Dear PDS Colleagues:

I just received a call from Dr. Bruce Fields one of the Board Members
of NAPDS. The conference is giving us a time slot for an open forum
to discuss the Nine Essentials. This was based on my survey of the
NAPDS members some months ago. The session is titled “The Nine
Essentials as the Basis for PDS Assessment” It will be on Thursday
morning 3/10 at 9am.

I agreed to facilitate this forum but encourage all of you to attend
and assist me in this open discussion since this was something we were
interested in as a group. Please let me know if you can join me so we
can have a little bit of a strategy before hand.

Michael,
IS this different from the presentation that Merilyn has been working on? Thank, Jackie

Hello,
I am following the emails, though I have not participated in any other way so far.  I just wanted to suggest that this group would also be welcome at the Invisible College, which meets one day before AERA begins every year.  Proposals are being accepted now for sessions during that Thursday.  I'm sure the PDS work that you are all deeply engaged in would be a well attended session.  Let me know if you want to send in a short description.  You would have a dedicated group of teacher educators with an open discussion format. Often we have people at the invisible college from all over the world as well as the States.  I've always found the sessions provocative and the discussions welcoming to all ideas.  The Invisible College was started years ago before Division K even existed!

Yes, this is not really a presentation, instead it is a roundtable discussion

Hi Michael,
I would love to be part of this. However I don't fly in until Thursday evening. I will look into the cost of changing my ticket. If Pepperdine would pay for the change, I would consider it. If it comes out of my pocket, I won't be able to do this. I will let you know if I get approval.

Thanks for this information

Do you have a link for this … I don’t seem to find it on Google or the AERA page.
