Dear Michael and Merilyn,
We La Verne folks are happy to write a chapter in the book. Our chapter can be on institutional preparedness to engage in partnerships. We have developed a series of scans, collectively known as the Partnership Readiness Scan Instruments. If this works for you, it will work for us. If the readiness idea doesn't work, then a second possibility would be on partner decision making. We are developing a decision making model based on loop learning theory. If you need two chapters from us, that would be okay, too. We'll be happy with one.
Emily
I would like to participate, what do you think? Honestly, Mike, I want an honest answer.

Subject: Book Proposal
Dear SCPDS Colleagues
Merilyn Buchanan and I are developing a proposal for an edited book about PDS. We are hoping to have the prospectus prepared by January 2012 for submission to Corwin Press.
We would like to know if any of you would be interested in writing a chapter for this book. If so, what aspect of PDS partnerships would you be interested in writing about? How long do you think it would take to prepare a chapter (publisher guidelines states that a chapter should be about 20-25 pages double spaced, 12 pt. font).
If you are interested, please respond as soon as possible so we can begin the development of an outline for the table of contents and begin conversations with you.
Michael Cosenza

I don't know what Honest Mike will tell you, but I will say get a publication before you finish your doctorate. It will not hurt you!
Hi Mike,
I would like to write a chapter on the topic of integrating professional learning communities into professional development schools.
Keith
