Dear PDS Colleagues:

This is a reminder that we agreed to hold our next meeting on:

Monday Sept. 19, 2011
10:00am at FLORY ACADEMY OF SCIENCES and TECHNOLOGY
240 Flory Ave., Moorpark CA 93021

Because the room is needed for class in the afternoon, we will meet
from 10am to 1pm at FLORY
My suggestion is that we begin the new year without any expectations
for the host to provide lunch
We can continue the conversation off-site over lunch for those who
would like to continue. There are a few places very nearby that I can
make a reservation so we have ample seating for those who want to
continue the discussion over lunch. Everyone would be responsible for
the cost of their own meal. When you RSVP, let me know if your
attedning just the meeting or if you'll be going to lunch as well.

The agenda will be as follows:

1. Grant Writers Role
The Grant Writer from the University of LaVerne said she would be
happy to contact the grant writers from our member universities to
start a conversation and to see if they will be attending one the big
professional grant writers conferences in November. If they are, she
suggested she would arrange for them to meet before or after the
reception dinner to talk. Please speak with your grant writers before
9/19 and find out if they are willing to work with the other grant
writers to find funding that would benefit our consortium
