SCOUTS - Middle School Event TOMORROW!! 6:00pm

Hello ALL Local Troops -

LAST MINUTE RECRUITING IDEA . . .

I’d like to invite you to join The Troop 1 scouts who will be standing outside of the John Jay Middle School Curriculum Night in their Class A uniforms between 6:00 and 9:00 tomorrow night, September 30th to recruit new families into scouting.

1. We will be handing out the attached Tri-Fold “Brochure” (THESE ARE NOT THE FINAL VERSIONS), please review the information for your troop and send me any corrections.

2. I will print out 100 copies of the TriFold. If we are running low, people will be able to scan the QR code of their local troop and/or scan the code on the front for the whole brochure. We will also have time to run home to print more if needed. 

3. All scouts should have a pen/pencil and something to write on in the event that a parent would like to give their email and/or phone number to facilitate further conversations or to get reminders for upcoming troop events. 

4. All current scouts from all troops are welcome in their Class A uniforms. 

5. Finally, for those athletes who can’t make the early 6:00 shift, we will be staying until the event lets out at 8:30 to greet parents when they might have more time to talk in the parking lot. If you are an athlete please consider joining for the late shift. Your senior presence is noteworthy for parents of younger children.
