Today at Conservative Scott versus Liberal Scott

We're back from the Holidays. Today, Scott J posted an entry entitled
"A discussion on our public discourse." In the post, Scott argues
that our current public discourse is reaching new levels and causing a
paralysis of the system. According to Scott, this is because of the
low cognitive level of the debate. Using a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon
strip, Scott shows what our debate results in for the nation.
However, the solution will require us to rethink what we teach in our
schools from kindergarten until college graduation.

Scott J has posted a new entry at the Blog entitled, "The One Year
Report Card and the Massachusetts Senate Election." In the entry,
Scott analyzes the recent Massachusetts Special Senate Election and
what it might mean for the upcoming midterm Congressional elections.
Using this background, Scott analyzes President Obama's first year in
office. The conclusion is mixed as Scott gives credit to President
Obama on foreign policy, but criticizes the President's effort, or
lack thereof, on some domestic issues.
