This morning, Scott L updated the blog with a post entitled "Arizona
is leading the way - we should follow." In the post, Scott argues
that the Arizona law is nothing more than a repeat of current Federal
law that will allow the State of Arizona to enforce current
immigration policies. In addition, Scott targets the insance rhetoric
coming from protesters of the new Arizona law as unreasonable and off
the mark. Scott continues the argument that the people of Arizona,
including legal Hispanic Arizonians, strongly support the new law,
which indicates the necessity of the law.

Today, Scott J entered a new post entitled "What the Stevens
Retirement Might Actually Mean ." In the post, Scott argues that the
real issue with Justice John Paul Stevens' retirement has little to do
with the successor named by President Obama, which will most likely be
ideologically similar to Justice Stevens. Instead, the real issue is
how the retirment affects the internal dynamics of the Court,
especially as it relates to the frequent "swing voter" Justice Anthony
M. Kennedy. According to Scott, Justice Kennedy's often swing vote in
hot-button cases grows even more important with the Justice Stevens
retirement.

In addition, the Arizona immigration law is stirring some hot debate
in the comments section of Scott L.'s most recent entry. Check it
out.
