Today, Scott J updated the blog with a new entry entitled "If Obama
Does It - Republican Just Gotta Hate It." In the post, Scott argues
that Republican attacks of Elena Kagan's lack of judicial experience
is an example of conservative hypocricy. Scott recounts that just
five years ago Republican Senators praised President Bush's nomination
of Harriet Miers, despite her lack of judicial experience. In fact,
according ot Scott, the Republican Senators found her lack of judicial
experience "refreshing." Now, on the other hand, Scott posits things
are different when it is President Obama.

This morning Scott J posted an new entry entitled ""The Second
Amendment and Suspected Terrorists." In the entry, Scott argues that
the Republicans are being hypocritical in their attacks on Democratic
policies concerning suspected terrorists. While the Republicans have
said that Miranda-izing terrorists, not using waterboarding as an
interrogation technique, closing Gitmo and using civilivian courts to
try accused terrorists jeapordize the safety of America, Scott J
argues that Republicans in the Senate are blocking attempts to pass
legislation to prevent suspected terrorists from purchasing a gun.
According to Scott, the Republicans have no trouble throwing away
other parts of the Constitution in the War on Terror, but they don't
want to touch the Second Amendment.
