This morning, Scott J posted an entry entitled "Citizens United and
Conservative Constitutional Hypocricy." In the post, Scott argues the
conservatives on the Supreme Court abandoned the principles of
Originalism and Judicial Restraint, which he posits have been at the
heart of conservatism's modern interpretation of the Constitution.
According to Scott, the decision in this case is an example of a
Realist Interpretation of the Constitution, which according to
Republican Senators last summer during the Sotomayor confirmation
hearings was an absolute wrong way to interpret the Constitution.
