How do we get permission to see the calender of events? Currently if I
look at it I get the message "Events from one or more calendars could
not be shown here because you do not have the permission to view
them."

Thanks

Sorry, that link should have been removed as it doesn't work. The correct link is: http://scottishdevelopers.com/events/

Colin.

Ah, I was looking for a calender that I could subscribe to and I like
the fact on the old site, that it also showed third-party events as
well. Well I suppose there's nothing to stop me making my own is
there? I'll update you with the calender links later.

We do show third party events on our events page if we find out about them. If you know of any third party developer events that we may be missing then please let us know and we'll include it.

Since SD has a Google Group would it be much trouble to set up a
public Google Calendar for events as well? That way people can
subscribe to it using various formats including iCal and can also add
it to their list of Coogle Calendars if they use it. Just a thought,
it has been a great tool for university so far, especially the team
project to find out where everyone is and when.

Hey sorry for the delayed reply but I've been tied in other things,
I've setup a google calender with the following links:

xml: http://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/lb9uepabgit6upnn3thsdft6e8%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic
ical: http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/lb9uepabgit6upnn3thsdft6e8%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics
html:http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?
src=lb9uepabgit6upnn3thsdft6e8%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=Europe/
London

Java User Group Scotland have there own google calender, which can be
found at
http://ukjugs.org/display/main/Calendar
