Hi,

we have currently sold 57 out of 135 tickets currently on sale. Ticket
sales have slowed down massively after the initial burst, and it would
be really good to share some ideas about how we can promote this more.
I'm going to blog about the conference this week, but more exposure
wouldn't hurt.

Following is a draft of the post to the techmeetup mailing list:

Hey All

I should have done this earlier, but at last months Techmeetup Joe announced the WhiskyWeb conference, a conference primarily aimed at web developers in Edinburgh.

Since Techmeetup, the speakers have been announced and the agenda published and the tickets have gone on sale, there arent a lot of tickets left so if you are planning to go you should get them early, it is expected to sell out.

There are more details on the website, but WhiskyWeb is a 2 day conference with a really good lineup of talks on the first day at the Hub in the center of Edinburgh and the second day is a Hackathon event at dynamic earth.

I am really excited about another web conference coming to Edinburgh, alongside all the other events it is making Scotland a great place to be working in tech, and thanks for all your support for these events.

Thanks
Dale

This is what I have so far, gimme your feedback and I will put it to the techmeetup list in an hour or so

Can't see anything why this wouldn't work, looks good to me.

I've contacted the CEO of www.forrst.com, and they've given me free
"acorns" which you can use to publish "promoted" posts, this is a very
rich developer resource which will get good exposure for the
conference.

If any of you want to join Forrst, let me know I have some invites left.

- Paul.
