Hello Pauline,
I am so sad and shaken by this news.
Our professional lives span over 40 years from the time of qualifying in Edinburgh. More recently, we have been engaged in all the technical aspects behind the FTSE indices, with Ken having taken over from me as THE actuarial rep. on index management. More recently, we seemed to be each other's sounding board for the resolution of technical issues.
I shall miss him and his open, frank, approachable manner in which all was discussed and resolved.
My condolences to you and all Ken's relatives and friends up North.
