To wee Scots (and big Scots too) and also the *nglish members of this group. I use the term *nglish so as not to offend, old tradition. I expect most *nglish don't do Xmas any more because you're of Pakistani or Arab origin, well happy festive season anyway. Did you see those two guys who knicked the Banksy stop sign in broad daylight ffs!! What is *ngland becoming.

I use Thunderbird, but that has been very problematic recently with
regard to newsgroups - and other things. Usenet is on the way out by the
looks of it.

There's something called 'OE Classic', and that supports Usenet content.
The problem is that it doesn't 'thread' coversations.

BTW, RH seemed to have disappeared and he has not posted anywhere for
weeks. Looks like something has happened to him.

Well he was older than me so it's likely I suppose. I do wish him well though as I never held anything personal against his bigoted ideas.
I won't be using Thunderbird probably but who knows. There's a few more people here to goodbye to. Forget their handles - Custos Custodian or something maybe?
It's been taken over by Spammers anyway.

Yes if Rab isn't on the Cricket one then I suppose something must be up.

No, he's not been on the cricket newsgroup for many weeks. I fear that
something has happened to him.

Like you, I don't hold any personal grudges against most people I have
argued with on usenet - most of it is banter anyway.

I think that I've seen Custos about in other groups fairly recently.
