Hi C2SI team,
I'm Lyris, an undergraduate student with a strong enthusiasm in Web3 development. I'm writing to express my keen interest in contributing to the LensMint Camera project for GSoC 2026.
Relevant experience:
- Won 1st place in the ZetaChain × Alibaba Cloud hackathon, where I built "Panic Pod," a cross-chain asset emergency evacuation tool. I also built "LedgerWise," a decentralized AI-powered finance assistant DApp, in a separate hackathon.
- Proficient in Solidity and Foundry — I've written and tested smart contracts end-to-end including deployment, verification, and interaction flows.
- Self-taught JavaScript and TypeScript over the past ~4 months, and have hands-on experience with Web3 service architectures (contract interaction, metadata handling, IPFS/Filecoin storage patterns).
- I have a working familiarity with Rust. I'm prepared to invest the ramp-up time before the coding period begins.
I've started exploring the lensmint-camera repo and am reviewing the existing architecture. I'd love to get your guidance on which open issues would be a good starting point for me to make an initial contribution.
Could I also get access to the link of C2SI Slack workspace?
Looking forward to contributing!
Best,
Lyris
