I noticed moonpy on Ubuntu-REVU. With your permission I would like to
take over the moonpy package, file a ITP (intent to package) bug with
the debian BTS, improve the debian packaging to conform to Debian/Ubuntu
policy. Once this is complete I intend to have moonpy sponsored into
Debian and then synced over to Ubuntu.

I am a Ubuntu MOTU, and working on becoming a Debian DM and one day
possible a DD. I currently maintain/co-maintain 5 packages in Debian:

Go ahead, we're eager to see MoonPy accepted into the repositories.
You'll probably want to repackage from source as the package on REVU was
my first attempt at creating a package.
