Spam has not been an issue on this mailing list <knocks on wood>, at
least I haven't gotten any from here. This mailing list is rather small
and quiet so I doubt it will become a problem, if it does I'll start
more closely moderating it.

some spam got through, you prolly didn't see it because you use thunderbird.

Huh, usually it lets me know it found spam before removing it, maybe I
missed the the notice. Anyways I'll go ahead and set up the moderation.

Yes I know, I've actually been eliminating spam from non-members for
awhile now, you just haven't noticed because I've been filtering them
out. Unfortunately the spambot just changed it's tactics. Today it added
itself to the list to skip moderation which is how it got through (it
hadn't done that since I started moderating). I've just closed open
membership but people can still request membership through me directly
from the discussion page. Actually I had to moderate *this* email
because although you're signed up with us on your other Email address,
this one isn't. I went ahead and added it to the list so I don't have to
moderate your messages.
