Dear SCORAI,

Please find here the keynote presentation https://scorai.net/a-language-for-our-common-future/ that Halina and Philip delivered at the recent ERSCP conference in Prague. It presents the rationale for producing the “Vocabulary for Sustainable Consumption and Lifestyles” which is just published and will very soon be available for Open Access.

We hope that this book will be widely used for teaching and especially for supporting actions and policies to promote sustainable lifestyles and a transition to a more sustainable society.

Feel free to request a free review copy if you are interested to review it. We are very interested in your reactions. Feel free to forward this to your circles and in social media posts.

Vocabulary for Sustainable Consumption and Lifestyles: A Language for

Wishing you all the best,

The editors: Halina Brown, Lewis Akenji, Laura Wallnoefer, Thomas Smith and Philip Vergragt

Thanks Philip!

How exciting to live in a refurbished church. 😊

What do you think of this version?

Hi Robert,

Yes, we are selling our condo and moving into another. We bought the new condo but it is still being finished; it is in a former catholic church that is being refurbished into 20 condos. Our own condo is up for sale but now buyers yet.

I looked at the video+ slides and it looks great. Just one request, if I may. Would it be possible to move the slides away from the speaker (that is often me). It would be easier to read if, when I speak, the slide is either in the middle(like the first slide) or under left. When Halina speaks it can obviously stay.

Thanks,

Philip

Thank you, Philip!

This means you moved houses?

Hi Robert,

Thanks! We were flying to Boston yesterday, and because our house was emptied because of the viewings for the sale we needed some time to unpack. I will look at the presentation today and get back to you soon,

Philip

Dear both,

Did you have a chance to review the draft?

Thank you!

Here is a first draft.

What do you think?

Hi Robert,

I timed the moments the slides should appear and disappear in the presentation. Please let me know if it feels weird to you; and we will need to check. Please notes that 2 slides are back to back (3 and 4); the others appear alternating with our faces. Did you receive the WeTransfer?

I attach the slides and the final presentation. You will see that we did not read it verbatim.

Good luck. We also attach a text for the webpage.

Warm regards and good luck,

Philip (and Halina)
