Ourfield crew would like to use the Copy button within a feature's menu to ease their workflow. However, only certain feature classes (FCs) within the same hosted feature layer have the Copy button enabled. I have not been able to pinpoint why this is the case, or what needs to change to enable the Copy button. Does anyone know?

1. If you have a feature in your map that allows copying but is not editable, then when you hit the copy button in field maps, it gives you the option to copy that feature to another layer of the same geometry.

2. If you have a feature in your map that is editable, then the only option you have for copying is to duplicate that feature. It does not seem possible to copy that feature to a different layer. Unfortunately for my use, this is a drawback of the FieldMaps app.

It didn't work for me either Travis. That was the point of my lament at the bottom, I suppose a person could search and see if this is a suggested improvement to the FieldMaps app. I have my reservations about that though, it seems like copying data between data layers in the FieldMaps app is prohibited for a reason. There must be, with almost a decade of continuous trial and error usage by thousands of intelligent people, a good reason that this feature is not bread and butter of the program as you would expect it to be.

I would be happy just to be able to copy editable features within the same layer. That's the part I'm still unable to do. Hopefully @DougMorgenthaler or someone else is able to find a solution. I suspect I may end up having to submit a support ticket.

Sometimes when you call Tech support and they really want to help out, they walk you through a whole test case and have you create a new feature from scratch, add it to a new map and test the function. It can be painful and very time consuming, but if you can get your dummy data to copy in Field Maps, then it might help you determine that the issue is your data structure.

Im not saying that this is your situation, but I have run into issues with corrupted data structure before from using the overwrite web layer feature in ArcPro on a hosted feature layer, and what I had to do was pull my Hosted feature offline, back into ArcPro, then rehost it as a new HFL, add it to my maps. Essentially redo everything, but sometimes its faster than finding out what the particular corrupt part of your data is.

Thanks for the suggestion. In my case this feature service is fairly complex and has a lot of connections, so re-publishing is out of the question. It's also in-service currently with daily data collection. It's not vital that we can copy features, it would just be convenient and save some time for our field crews.

I am working on a project and would like to make copies of some of the maps I have so I can test things on a map and see if it works instead of doing constant edits/changes on the original map. When I make a copy of the map (Save As), it seems to always link it to the original map, which means that whenever I make changes on the copy map, there are some changes that show up on the original map.

Do you own the layers that are included in your web map? IF so, when you change the symbology or web map do you save the layer, or save the change by saving the web map. If you save the layer specifically from the options in the contents and you own the layer, it updates the layer visualization properties which can be perpetuated with other web maps that consume the layer. If you save a copy of the map, the symbology changes will be saved to the map and should not be perpetuated to other copies of the web map.

When I make the changes in the web map, I save it by saving the web map. Should I save the layer in the copy map instead? I press Save on the map, so shouldn't pressing Save just save the web map or does it save for all layers? Normally I can share them, but I am not in the process of sharing this specific map yet, which is why I want to make changes on a copy map and experiment what I can do.

I think it can be a little misleading,u must trying copying a map from Google maps within Safari, not from the Map application itself. It was a little difficult to get it to work, What I did was copy the portion of the page right below the map (it wouldn't work for the map itself) and then drag the copy bars up to the map. i hope it works. www.mobilemediacity.com/iphone/mapmyride-2

Think about a stack based state, and keeping track of some info you store in a map. Is it possible in Rust (and if so, what would you use) to implement a copy on write strategy for those maps?

The maps on this page are available for download as PDF documents. Countywide maps are designed for printing on 22 inches by 34 inches (ANSI D) size paper and are updated on a quarterly basis or as needed. Park Maps are 8.5 inches by 11 inches and are updated as needed.

Specifically, I would like to ask Word in Outline mode to display only

the 1st level of headers, and then copy that list without all the sub-

levels of information coming along with it. For example, if a client

wants a list of the companies I am researching, and I have created the

Document Map to give each company name a level one header priority,

the only way I can provide that list to the client (without the dozens

of pages of notes each header represents tagging along) is to headers

in Outline mode and create a screen grab of them. Do you have any

better solutions? (I'm on an iMac, running OS 10.5.7, Word 2004 vers.

11.5.5)Many thanks for all I have learned from this site in the past.

Actually, I use it myself, but the secret is that the document must already

be formatted with Styles before you turn Document Map on. If it isn't,

Document Map will "guess" where the headings are, which can be quite

disconcerting..Make sure you are not confusing the terms "Headers" and "Headings". Headers

are the "running headers" of the document. They are stored in the section

breaks. To copy headers you must copy the section break (which means: the

whole document if there are no section breaks other than the default section

break in the document). The Outline View works, not on the style, but on the "Outline Level", which

is a property of the Heading styles, but it can be a property of any other

style. However, when you copy a lump of Outline View, you copy the whole thing, not

just the visible levels. To work around this, I just insert a Table Of Contents. Set it to pick up

only the levels you are interested in.Then copy that. Please post back if you need more detail than that...Cheers

Glad you like it -- Sorry I wasn't more explicit but I just figured a

veteran would know what I meant :-) There's also a button on the Standard

Toolbar immediately to the left of the Zoom box... At least it's there by

default. You can use that to toggle the FP on/off as well.John was referring to the automatic TOC feature in Insert> Index & Tables>

Table of Contents. If you just want your Level 1 Headings you can specify

that on the main page of the dialog [lower left corner]. If you want only

certain levels other than Level 1 you can click the Options button to

reassign the levels.Regards :>)

Despite their importance in gene innovation and phenotypic variation, duplicated regions have remained largely intractable owing to difficulties in accurately resolving their structure, copy number and sequence content. We present an algorithm (mrFAST) to comprehensively map next-generation sequence reads, which allows for the prediction of absolute copy-number variation of duplicated segments and genes. We examine three human genomes and experimentally validate genome-wide copy number differences. We estimate that, on average, 73-87 genes vary in copy number between any two individuals and find that these genic differences overwhelmingly correspond to segmental duplications (odds ratio = 135; P So I can't seem to figure out how to copy over the map files from a server I rent to my computer. I'm wanting to switch to a new map that I'm going to use mods on so I want to copy my current map files over in case I ever want to go back to it. I used Filezilla to get the saved files from 7daystodie/Saves. Copied those over and loaded them up but I get a message saying "This Save Game is for a World that no Longer exists. If the World was from a Mod make sure that Mod is installed." I found some information saying that I also need the world files from Data\Worlds\[World Name] to get the world working. Shouldn't be a problem until I realize there isn't a file with that name. All I have are the files Empty, Navezgane, Playtesting, PREGEN01, PREGEN02, and PREGEN03. None of those are the correct files that I need to get the map to work. The map works perfectly fine on the server. All the other maps on my computer work fine even though I don't have any of those files in there either. I'm not quite sure what to do at this point since all the info I'm finding is pointing me to a missing file. It's probably something small I'm missing and will probably feel done when someone points out what I'm doing wrong but I'm not really sure where else to turn for help.

I'm on a linux, so I don't have the windows paths, but mine is ".local/share/7DaysToDie/Generated Wolds". I think that translates to something like "\user\AppData\7DaysToDie\Generated Wolds" in win, something like that.
