Join us for a leisurely stroll with scenic views of the Brandywine Creek and wildlife, between the two locations we will be covering just over 4 miles of relatively flat trail.
First we will explore Shaw's Bridge Park, a small East Bradford Township park along Brandywine Creek. The park is named after Shaw's Bridge, the original creek crossing located at the northern end of the park. Parking is limited here so carpool when you can.
Next we will head over to the Myrick Conservation Center, part of the Brandywine Red Clay Creek Alliance. In 1981, the property, then 212 acres, was a gift from Horatio Myrick and included farmland, woodlands, wetlands and meadows.
All adults are welcome and children aged 12 years old and over. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed and pet parents are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. At the Myrick Center, dogs are restricted to certain areas because surrounding plots are ecologically fragile. They are not allowed inside the Resource Conservation Building.
