OpenLinux eServer2.3 - glibc2.2.4-22

Hi!
I recently installed Tarantella 3 on OpenLinux eServer2.3, the
installation seemed to run smoothly, but if I try to reach the login
page, the browser shows endlessly this first screen with logo and
pictures saying "still working please wait".
Now I found error messages in the apache errorlog saying that files
are not found. I understand (former postings) that the problem could
be with glibc.
rpm -q glibc returns glibc2.2.4-22
Do I still have to install glibc2.1.2-2S ????
Should I uninstall tarantella before ??
any help much appreciated!
