Hi guys,

I'm using scm manager in a shared environment(each user has their own SCM Manager.

The memory each instance is taking is about 176 MB.

Is there any way to reduce this? Make each instance run smoother?

Thanks

Why becomes each user its own scm-manager? Does each user work alone on his instance? Could you explain your environment? SCM-Manager is a multiuser system. Each user can have its own repositories, separated by permission.

I second this question, not because of the shared instances (which sounds also interesting for me), but because of the limited available memory within my VPS. I've seen -Xms64m -Xmx64m (and vice versa) options in another thread. Would they really help to decrease the memory consumption?

Of course I'm not expecting a fast server, but it would be nice if it can leave some space for other processes :) Because SCM-Server is the most memory hungry process I have right now (with default settings).

Cheers,

Yes, you can use these parameters to decrease the memory usage. But if you choose to the values to low, you can risk an OutOfMemoryException and decreasing the memory will result in a much slower scm-manager.
