Dear all,
some have had questions concerning the positions of neurons similar to this one:
"...There are groups/clusters of 4 to 6 neurons [...]. Are these the natural positions of the neurons? If not, how are they altered?
We noticed that only surface neurons were measured, is this correct?..."
To clarify:
The data from the human connectome database comprises only 5000 locations on the brain surface. To add additional neurons for the simulation, the network used these
original locations and added artificial neurons based on random offsets. This offset is rather small, which is why we get these little clusters.
I hope this explanation helps.
If there are any questions, don't hesitate to respond or start a new thread.
Best wishes and have a wonderful end of the year and good start into a healthy and successful 2023!
