Quiver plots small vectors!!!!

hello everyone,

I had been plotting the cubes field winds

but i am having very small arrrows of wind direction, i increase the width the entire plot turns black, how to overcome this problem?

Under the hood Iris is just using matplotlib's quiver. The scaling of matplotlib's quiver has always challenged me, but there are a number of resources out there that should help:
