Hi all,

We plan to tag and release Iris v2.2.0 by the middle of next week. If you have a Pull Request that you would like to see included in v2.2.0, or an issue that you would like to see fixed in v2.2.0, please add it to the v2.2.0 milestone. Please note that adding a ticket to the milestone is not a guarantee that we will definitely include it in the milestone, but we will definitely consider its addition, and provide clear feedback if we decide to defer solving the ticket until after the release of v2.2.0.

You can also view the current scope of the v2.2.0 release in the milestone. The aims of Iris v2.2.0 are to release some recent work that mitigates a slowdown in Iris v2 when loading chunked, compressed NetCDF files, and to release some recent work that provides plotting of 2D coordinates, particularly with a view to supporting plotting of some ocean grids.

We'll continue to provide updates with the release process, and make a further announcement when Iris v2.2.0 is released.

Kind regards,
Peter
