For those classed as "SciTools developers" as defined by the SciTools governance model (i.e. those with merge rights on any SciTools repository), I want to raise awareness of a change I have put forward that is designed help us improve the definition of our governance, and speed-up our decision making process.


The deadline for acting on this PR is 2017/10/24 1200 UTC and all involvement in that PR would be greatly appreciated.

Just wanted to follow up and say that this was merged. We now have a much tighter definition of SciTools governance, and that will have an immediate impact in our ability to move forwards with decision making. This is particularly pertinent as we move towards cutting the v2.0 release of iris over the coming weeks.
