Hi all,

We intend to cut a release candidate of Iris 2.3 in the next couple of days.

Currently, we are in the process of tidying up a few final PRs we would like to squeeze into Iris 2.3 (see the Iris 2.3 project board on github). Besides the PR in the "In Progress" column, there are still a few outstanding issues/PRs in the Iris 2.3 milestone but unfortunately these will need to be delayed until Iris 3.

The release of Iris 3 is expected to follow a few weeks after the Iris 2.3 release. The primary intention behind the release of Iris 3 will be dropping Python 2 support. If there are any issues/PRs you would like to be considered for the Iris 3 release, please add them to the Iris 3 milestone.

Regards,
Laura

I realise that it was announced on Twitter, but I find Twitter such a mess of disparate information that things can easily get lost (and I don't usually look at it at work anyway).
