To put a little bit more context around this:
- We discussed the development of the research.fm services today. Recording is available at
http://fm.ea-tel.eu/fm/d82b18-22120.
- We agreed to collect the requirements of tool developers by 9 July.

- FlashMeeting: Fridolin
- Pub database: Fridolin

-> half a page to one page per tool
-> editor for this wiki: Fridolin
- We agreed to define the specification of the services by 14 July and discuss the results on Thursday 15 July at 12h00 Brussels time.
- We'll take some inspiration from last.fm, mendeley and others.

-> editor for this wiki: Gonzalo
- We agreed to do a stubs implementation, returning fake results in the week after and to do a real implementation in the weeks thereafter.
- We had quite a bit of discussion about whether we want to develop one single target for these services, or a distributed network. Likewise: do we want to rely on harvesting for replicating relevant data between research.fm sites? Basically, some exploratory tools need only one step at a time and can work on an API; some other tools need most all data immediately and would need mostly a dump or additional API calls? We will revisit this issue next time.
The basic intent is to make good progress on this during the Summer: your contributions and comments are warmly welcomed ;-)
Kind regards,
