Hi All…

We all hear about Global Warming and the rising temperatures. Rather, we can literally see the effects of global warming. The increasing temperature, unusual rain, floods, droughts, near extinctions of species and the list goes on…..

We ALL, each one of us is responsible for that miniscule percentage in contributing to this situation and we all know that deep inside ourselves. We cannot escape by saying, "It is not me, it is because of other huge institutions/organizations/factories etc, it is they who have to change and not me. How much can I contribute???, It wont change anything"

We must stop playing the Blame Game and set our foot on ground. You cannot change anyone on this earth, except yourself.

Lets us all bring in few small changes in our daily routines and bring about great differences in our lives and in the environment around us.

Considering that all of us can  mould ourselves a little, here is the an  ACTION I that we can take:

1)        Use "BLACKLE" as your search engine, instead of "GOOGLE". It is the BLACK GOOGLE. The site is  www.blackle.com

a.        BLACKLE search engine run by GOOGLE itself, it is called energy saving search. The reason being, the white screen which Google uses consumes a much larger % of power, as compared to the black screen. Hence you would notice, BLACKLE has a black screen as the background.

b.        Black Google Would Save 750 Megawatt-hours a Year

I am sure all of us can do this .....

Hey Neha,

That was really good but should I also read the message on the bottom which says "

To know more about KPIT Cummins and our leadership team; watch Ravi Pandit , Chairman & Group CEO, on NDTV Profit's Boss' Day Out, on Thursday, 2nd August, 7:30 pm" Just kidding. Now talking about serious stuff. Are you aware that black colour puts more strain on eyes and with result its going to affect us biologically. Should we compromise on retina strength or the small change? A question worth asking. But choice is always there.

Dear Deepak

I defer. what you've said is logically wrong. Black colour does not reflect light to our eyes, thats why we do not experience a colour. where is the question about straining our eyes in such a case.
Black absorbs, absorbs all.

Anybody who can scientifically correct my statement or Deepu's, is welcome.

Regards,

Adil
