Hi, everybody. I started using SciTE some days ago. I saw on a Blender
Tutorial Video. I am using Blender too, editing Python.

I like it, but I would like SciTE to start with some options by
default:

View - Whitespace
View - Line Numbers
Options - Use Monospaced Fonts
Options - Change Indentation Settings Tab and Index size to 4.

I tried to modify the Global Options File, but I didn't find that
options (I did found and could change Indentation settings). I look
for them in python.properties, but nothing. It's annoying to change
every time I open SciTE.

Is it possible to make them by default?

Thanks.

General advice: read http://www.scintilla.org/SciTEDoc.html

Change settings in the user properties file instead: it allows to keep
them while upgrading your version of SciTE.

Interesting settings for you:
view.whitespace
line.margin.visible
Fonts: you have to change the font settings yourself, for each style.

Thank you, Philippe! I don't know why I had not found the
view.whiteline, but I would never have found the line.margin.visible...

I changed the font.base to a monospaced font. It's OK, but I have a
doubt: there is no way to activate only the "Use monospaced font" wich
is in Option Menu?

Another thing! I read about save.session and it would be what I need...
but, to use it, I have to run SciTE as superuser... I'm using Ubuntu and
I start SciTE from an icon in the panel. I tried "sudo SciTE", but nothing.

Two questions:

1.- How do I run a program as superuser from the menu or the panel?
2.- How do I run SciTE to start a particular session file? I tried SciTE
/home/mario/edit.session, but it open as a file. "SciTE --help" shows
nothing.
