If you perform group editing (objects are selected by CTRL+SHIFT+D) and some selected objects are invisible because they are in collapsed ranges, then the editing result may be incorrect in these collapsed ranges.

'result may be incorrect`: too vague for me to understand what is occurring.

For example, press the -> button, and then <-, then inside the collapsed cursor will move incorrectly and if there were several selections, then the cursor will remain alone (again inside the collapsed one)

How is the movement different from a single caret inside a collapsed section?

If you do as I described above and expand the collapsed section, then when you press -> and <- the cursors in the expanded section behave correctly, but if the section is collapsed, then the cursors in it do not behave correctly when you press -> and <- (if you expand , then you can see that the cursors are not in their places)

i don't know what you regard as 'correct'.

Well, if you select several objects using CTRL+SHIFT+D and some of them are in the collapsed section, and then enter text, then everything will be replaced correctly, but if you move the cursor using the -> or <- keys, pressing them several times, then the cursor will be out of place (and only one instead of several) and subsequent insertion of text will result in insertion in the wrong place.

Cursors move over collapsed sections as quicker navigation is a motivation for collapsing text. Cursors move out of collapsed text so they can be seen.

I want to replace set '_a with setf _a, for this I select the substrings of set '_a using CTRL+SCHIFT+D, press the keys ->,<-,<- and replace, but in the collapsed replacement the replacement is in a completely different place. But if you replace the entire selection, then everything works correctly. I messed up the code more than once until I figured out what was what. I propose to correct the implicit behavior. The cursor is too subtle to be noticed and only confuses the user with its new position.
