I often run slow build scripts from SciTE so like to push SciTE into the background and do something else until the task finishes. If the "do something" covers most of the screen then I have to peek occasionally to see if it is still going. This feature displays a green disk overlay icon over the SciTE taskbar icon while executing a task allowing me to switch back once the command has finished.

It looks like https://www.scintilla.org/SciTEBusy.png while busy.

It is enabled by setting in user options:
icon.busy=1

A few other approaches were tried and could be options. One was to display the green swiping effect that installer icons show while performing a lengthy install but the continual movement was too distracting for me.

A success/failure overlay icon after the command completes might be useful but then there isn't a clear time to clear to no icon.

The committed changes can be examined either in the repositories
