SciTE 5.1.6 is now available from the scintilla.org <http://scintilla.org/> web site. It uses Lexilla 5.1.4 and Scintilla 5.1.5.

This is a medium release.

Lua scripts that call Scintilla APIs that return strings may see slightly different values such as an empty string returned where nil was returned previously. This may cause existing scripts to fail but it is more consistent.

For GTK on Wayland using a secondary monitor, autocompletion bugs fixed.

A detailed list of changes is available on the history page.

SciTE uses Mercurial (Hg) and Git for source code control. The repositories can be cloned with
git clone https://github.com/ScintillaOrg/lexilla <https://github.com/ScintillaOrg/lexilla>
hg clone http://hg.code.sf.net/p/scintilla/code <http://hg.code.sf.net/p/scintilla/code> scintilla
hg clone http://hg.code.sf.net/p/scintilla/scite <http://hg.code.sf.net/p/scintilla/scite>

Downloads:

There will be a commercial macOS release of SciTE shortly.

Thanks to the contributors of code and documentation and to the testers.

Hi Neil,

it is really cool that lexilla is on git. Are there plans to move also scintilla it self to git?

Cheers,
Martin

Not currently. I still find Mercurial easier to use in more complex situations.

Hi Neil,

thanks for the fast clarification. Maybe setting up a mercurial to git mirror which is readonly?

Cheers,
Martin
