Windows executable downloads will, from now, be signed with a certificate from Certum.

A signature will be present for Scintilla.dll, Lexilla.dll, SciTE.exe, and Sc1.exe for both 64-bit and 32-bit versions as well as versioned name variants like Sc32_558.exe.

The signature will contain "Open Source Developer, Neil Hodgson".

The signature can be checked by opening the file properties of each executable where there will now be a "Digital Signatures" tab. Select that tab and the Signature list will show the signature although it will be cramped into a narrow column so resize or click Details.

Thanks to Tabular Editor for sponsoring this work and Certum for providing low cost certificates for open source developers.

An archive with signed executables can be downloaded from

A new version of SciTE will be released soon.
