macOS problem with monospaced fonts

Version 5.1.3 of SciTE has a new feature that optimizes the performance of monospaced fonts. However, on macOS, there is a bug that causes bad layout with this optimization. While a fix release will be made, for now, its best to turn off the feature by setting the allowed monospaced fonts to an empty list in user properties:

font.monospaced.list=
