Hi Aram,
We're thinking about scirate again. Apart from various minor breakages, I sorted the remaining tasks from the roadmap into two milestones:
Things we should do before switch to the new code
and things we could do afterwards
Feel free to re-assign the various issues to these milestones as you see fit.
Given we're not using the new code already, it seems like we should aim to get most the big changes out of the way in one shot, because people don't like continual change.
The big things left are design and search.
Search: We agreed to delegate this to the arxiv. We did this but it was too slow. Jaiden's needs to fix the backend first (the historical data has various formatting peculiarities) but then we need to think about this again.
Design: It would be most efficient if our designer could talk to you directly. Perhaps he could start by interviewing you in about two weeks? (We're busy redoing our site up until then.) Once we get a mock-up that you're happy with, we can implement it quickly.
