Deciding initial values for a Quadratic Optimization problem using Scipy

I am new to Scipy. I want to know how I can decide the initial values for solving a Quadratic optimization problem using SciPy. I observed that the solutions differ based on the initial values. Can't we get rid from setting initial values or else, how can we deicide them appropriately?
