Began after surgery to remove ovary

I have my first ss exactly one week after I had my right ovary
surgically removed. That was about 2 months ago, and I just had a
second one. Interestingly, it is happening at the same time in my
cycle - about a week before my period is due. Has anyone else
experienced a hormonal link?

As an aside, I had absence seizures as a child which ended when I
started menstruating, but since then (I am now 37) nothing until after
this surgery. I had never had a migraine, in fact I rarely get
headaches or any other seizures. Epilepsy and migraines are both in
my family though. My mother had the occasional migraine, and her
brother had epilepsy (with full blown tonic-clonic seizures)
