If I press Enter at the end of a line then this line is highlighted as changed and the next line is not. This is confusing - there's no change on the original line but the next line is new and it should be highlighted.
If I instead press Enter at the start of a line then the result is correct.

New line characters were added and they occur at the end of the line.
If you turn on visible line ends and indicators in text (change.history=7) then the line end characters should be underlined.
