feature request: different line number colors for current line

I'd like to request an enhancement.

Currently, the line number margin only uses one color. But I'd like to have different colors in that margin (or maybe all margins) for the active/current line.

Here's a screenshot of VisualStudio which does this:

See how line 518 has a brighter color for the line number on the left.

This really helps me to faster determine where the line with the cursor is.

I second this! So many editors have it now. Was hoping to try to find some time to implement it, but alas that has not happened.
