Spoken Samskritam classes at UMD

Welcome to Spoken Samskritam!

Samskrita Bharati has been conducting "Spoken Sanskrit classes" at UMD since 2003. There is a new class beginning this Saturday September 27 at 2 pm, which will be held every Saturday from 2 pm - 3:30 pm. We will start with the basics, and have you speaking in Samskritam in no time! And of course, once one learns to speak, then reading even challenging texts becomes easy. So join us, learn to speak Samskritam!

Here are easy, step-by-step directions right to the classroom. It
couldn't be easier...

1. From 495, take Route 1 South around 5 minutes. The main entrance to
UMD will be on your right (Campus Drive).

2. From SSVT, take a left turn out of the driveway onto Cipriano Rd.
After around 1/4 mi, take a right onto Good Luck Road. Just go straight
on Good Luck Road. It will become Paint Branch Parkway and take you
straight to the entrance to UMD. You will arrive in ten minutes to Route
1. Cross Route 1 and continue straight to enter the UMD campus on Campus
Drive.

3. Via either #1 or #2 above, once you enter UMD via Campus Drive, in
100 yards take your first right onto Paint Branch Drive, and then again
after 100 yards take your first right into the parking lot. Park your
car. From there it is a two-minute walk to the classroom.

4. Walking from the parking lot to the classroom:

Walk in the direction following Campus Drive further into campus. You
will be approaching the Big M circle. Before you reach the circle, the
mathematics building is on the right (building with pillars marked Glenn
L Martin Institute of Technology) with a fountain in front.
