As everyone recalls, OspA is the same thing as the gp120 and gp41
antigens of the HIV:

I add this because one would think OspA would have been
a vaccine against AIDS had we known anything about OspA.

Except for the part where OspA suppresses the immune
system in a tolerization sort of way, especially when given
too much of it, or being subjected to the blebbing that characterizes
relapsing fever (chronic Lyme).
